Â
to create the new interior, which was formed in collaboration with archikon and eszter mangel hobor, kissmiklos looked to zsolnay porcelain, as it was within this space that the artisanal factory presented their new eosin technology and deep green objects. therefore, this deep green hue provides the guiding concept for the design.
Â
Â
the eosin technique also inspired the emergence of art nouveau in the factory and the building was originally decorated with zsolnay porcelain. with this in mind, the deep green walls and ceilings are also combined with exaggerated knick-knacks, plates and vases, evoking the age of the art nouveau. moreover, kissmiklos also redesigned the pattern of an old zsolnay art nouveau vase then created a brand new collection in co-operation with the zsolnay artisanal factory especially for the new restaurant.
