Can?t miss it Plenty of new housing developments these days choose an unoffensive gray of sorts for their whole exterior, but not this one.
Over in Sacramento, California, Johnson Schmaling Architects designed the Oak Park homes to stand out in a good way.
The six houses, arranged as two rows of 1,500-square-foot boxy structures, each show off a facade of rainbow-hued metal louvers, making the homes feel like they could be part of an Emmanuelle Moureaux exhibition.

Though they looks purely decorative, the louvers? colors reflect the hues of the neighborhood?s existing houses. It?s a nice and thoughtful touch for a quickly transforming area that, according to the architects, has hardly developed any new housing stock in over 50 years.
The two-story homes all feature white walls and concrete floors inside, with living, dining, and kitchen areas on the lower level and three bedrooms above.
