Designed by RMJM Serbia, Sheremetyevo International Airport ?Terminal C? opened its doors to the public on January 17th.
The project was one of several terminals at Sheremetyevo that RMJM Serbia have been involved with, including Terminal B. The event was attended by over 700 people and Goran Nikolic and Jelena Krstovic Nikolic, RMJM Serbia?s Director and Lead Architect respectively, were presented with an Award of Appreciation for their work on the airport?s terminals.
?We thank the client for the acknowledgement and their support while realising this project together. Inspired by Russia?s early 20th Century Avant-garde architecture, our idea was to make the terminal reflect this movement so from the moment people step off the plane, they begin to experience Russian culture.?

For over 40 million annual passengers, the North Terminal Complex in which Terminal C resides is the first experience that passengers receive of the Russian capital. It was, therefore, RMJM?s mission to build-upon the approach they had fostered for the award-winning Terminal B, and present Russian history and culture as people walk through the terminal towards Russia?s present.
