Seeley House by Edward Killingsworth
In 1953 Edward Killingsworth built the Seeley House in Long Beach California and is one of Killingsworth’s first solo designs. I recently got a DM from @socalarchitecture (Elias) on Instagram letting me know that he had started a new personal project called “Open Space”. His first subject was the Seeley House. I was instantly sucked into the video, I loved the story about how the current owner came to own the house. The scale and the overall presence of the house is quite nice and is in no way overwhelming. I couldn’t help but notice the tattered arm on the Womb Chair, it was perfect. The house feels clearly authentic in every way.
