Major Donald Judd retrospective coming to MoMA in 2020



Mark your calendar Donald Judd isn?t hurting for exposure. The late artist and designer, known for his minimalist sculptures and furniture, has shown in museums around the world, turned his residences into spaces that design lovers can tour, and put his fingerprints all over Marfa, Texas, now a design destination.
That hasn?t stopped Judd from getting one of his biggest shows yet. In March 2020, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City will hold a career-spanning retrospective of Judd?s work. It will be the first major show since the Whitney Museum of American Art held a Judd retrospective in the 1980s. The upcoming MoMA show will also be one of the museum?s first major exhibitions after its $400 million expansion.

The exhibition will showcase more than 60 works from Judd, with an emphasis, we imagine, on his art and sculptures. According to the MoMA team, even for Judd aficionados there will be plenty of unseen Judd to ogle.
