Goop is selling furniture now
Gwyneth Paltrow?s lifestyle brand has a new collaboration with CB2 Well, it was inevitable: Goop, actress Gwyneth Paltrow?s lifestyle empire, has ventured into furniture and decor for the first time. The collaborator" CB2, the younger, more accessible sister brand of Crate and Barrel and a go-to for relatively affordable modern home finds.
Launched today, the collection seeks to, in Paltrow?s words, nail the ?juxtaposition of functionality and elegance? to meet the ?needs of modern families.? According to Fast Company, the pieces are supposed to reflect the decor of Paltrow?s own home, which seems about right, based on these images of her ?ethereal? New York City loft currently on the market.
Quattro velvet tufted sectional sofa, $5,796; Avorio side table, $249; Moze indoor swing chair, $1,299.
The collection has a little bit of everything: Mix the trendy midcentury pieces reminiscent of West Elm finds with the globally-inspired artisanal decor of, say, The Citizenry, and then add in some streamlined glassware you might get at a direct-to-consumer home goods brand like Snowe, not to mention plenty of sleek metallic accents popular in CB2?s own catalog.
The price range is, well, quite a range, going from $9.95 (glasses and bowls) to $5,796 (a velvet tufted four-piece sectional). Here?s a closer look at a selection of the collection, which will be available at CB2 in stores and online; a limited number of products will be sold on Goop?s onl...
