5 tiny houses we loved this week: from a ?Hobbit home? to a 340-square-foot stunner

People are getting creative Another week, another fresh crop of tiny house news. Here, we catch you up on the standout projects you should know.

Let?s start off with some tiny eye-candy: Designed for a client who "wanted spacious," this 340-square-foot custom build by Quebec?s Minimaliste Tiny Houses is full of fancy touches, including compact kitchen cabinetry, built-in storage in the bathroom, and a pull-down table that doubles as a mirror when upright. No word on cost, but it probably wasn?t cheap.

The recently introduced Vista Go is a fun addition to Escape Homes? fine line of tiny houses. At 136 square feet, it?s a shrunken-down version of the Vista model, which lives up to its name with huge wraparound windows by the sleeping area. Vista Go comes in lighter and cheaper than the original, with prices starting at $38,600.
We recently explored the difference between tiny houses and RVs in an interactive flowchart, but this 250--square-foot build from Tiny Idahomes certainly makes things more interesting! Recently showcased the Tiny House Jamboree in Colorado Springs, this model features three A-frame slide outs à la a pop-up camper. The slide-out dining room fits a two-person table and chairs and the slide-out living room comes with a built-in couch-bed. The whole set up is now asking $68,995.

We once came across a tiny house with a hobbit door to a tiny rooftop deck, and now there?s a tiny house with a hobbit door as the actual entrance to the h...
