You can help ?renovate? the Clue mansion by voting for a new room

Should the classic murder mystery board game get a bathroom, drawing room, or another bedroom" From movies to real-life mansions, Clue has always been a source of over-the-top design inspiration (A ballroom and a conservatory" Sure, why not). Seventy years since the murder mystery board game first landed in living rooms, the 2-D mansion backdrop to the game is getting a makeover, and you can help decide what the new version looks like.
Hasbro has partnered with home design site Houzz to crowdsource a new room to replace the Great Hall of Mr. Boddy?s elaborate residence. People can choose from a drawing room, bathroom, guest bedroom, and for those who can?t quite let go of the hall, there?s a modern version of the common space, too. Since launching in 1949, the board game hasn?t updated its nine rooms?the kitchen, hall, ballroom, conservatory, dining room, cellar, billiard room, library, and lounge, and study?in as many years.
Partnering with Houzz is a chance for the game to get a modern update, as dictated by the design hive mind. The ?remodel? could also lead to more subtle changes in the game experience.
?The room design helps tell the story of Clue through visual imagery,? Christopher Nelson, Hasbro?s senior game and product designer, tells Houzz. ?For example, the original hall had a broken statue. This element suggests that a struggle may have occurred and ties the murder mystery to t...
