Global warming started in the 19th century. However, we intensely started feeling it in the mid-90s. Over years, social awareness about global warming has started rising. These days, people try to consume renewable energy, vegan products, and so on. On the other side, in order to support social awareness companies try to increase the recycling rate, and produce green products.  Ramos Castellano Arquitectos in Cape Verde revealed a perfect example of recycled design: a vibrant mosaic façade made of recycled steel barrel lids. The project is in Centro Nacional de Artesanato e Design in Mindelo on Sao Vicente Island. The island is a part of the Cape Verde archipelago.

Details of the Vibrant Mosaic Façade
The building of Centro Nacional de Artesanato e Design was renovated by Ramos Castellano Arquitectos. The restoration way is quite different. The façade of the building is now full of colorful barrel lids. The company painted the lids with different vibrant colors. The lids are both eye-catching and functional. For example, you can change the angle of the lids like blinds. This allows control of airflow, sunlight, and temperature of the building.
