Venice Architecture – Introduction
Venice is the capital city of the Italian region of Veneto and is located in the north east part of the country. The city has 270,000 inhabitants, but it feels small parly due to the high density.
Famous Venetian buildings include St Mark’s Basilica on Piazza San Marco, La Fenice (opera house), the Doge’s Palace, Ca’ d’Oro plus the less well known Ca’ Pesaro and Ca’ Rezzonico.
