And lightweight trailers are especially appealing in an increasingly eco-conscious world; they can be towed by more efficient small SUVs, wagons, and sometimes even cars instead of requiring a gas-guzzling truck.
The latest lightweight trailer to cross our desk is brand new. Dutch startup Easy Caravanning just debuted the TakeOff, a pop-up camper that sets up in under one minute. That?s quick as lightening, and Easy Caravanning is betting big on the fact that people will love the ease of set up. The camper itself is fairly simple, consisting of a hard roof, fabric sidewalls, and strut-assisted lift. You open the trailer from the back by dropping the entry step and pushing the roof up. Once inside, a dining table snaps into place in the center aisle, with two bench seats on either side. This same dinette transforms into an oversized queen bed that can sleep two, and different configurations let you prioritize a more spacious bed or a larger dining area.
