Tiny Mobile Office: Cargo Van Converted Into Cozy Work Studio

A cargo van isn?t the most obvious choice of a vehicle to serve as the basis for a converted mobile home or office, considering its relatively cramped quarters and less-than-pleasing looks. When filmmaker Zach Both found this ten-year-old Chevy with over 200k miles on it, it was definitely worse for the wear, with a dirty, dingy interior that definitely doesn?t scream ?comfortable place to sleep and work.? But over the course of a year, Both got creative with totally transforming the van, inside and out – and you won?t believe where that beautiful wood on the ceilings, floors and cabinets came from.
?In the fall of 2014, I quit my full-time job as an art director to return to my lifelong passion for filmmaking,? Both says. ?While I could have moved to LA and started hustling among the swarm of other filmmaking hopefuls, I decided to take an entirely different (and somewhat novel) approach. I dreamed of embarking on a creative road show; traveling the country to learn about the human experience and develop my voice as a filmmaker.?
?The method of transportation for this road show was initially of no concern to me. It could?ve worked with a boat, a bus or just a backpack and a willingness to hitchhike.
