Thornton Abell home renovation by SPACE INT.

Thornton Abell, a Case Study architect designed this house as a studio and residence for artist, Rico Lebrun in 1963. The house revolves around a central atrium space. Space International did a phenomenal job with this renovation. I have always had a thing for a concrete structure mixed with walls of glass. This house does that combination very well. The architecture so minimal and clean and explicitly says “modern”. Mental note, make life goal to have collection of motorcycles.
