Stunning wooden Oberholz Mountain Hut
The new Ski-haven in the Italian Dolomites offers views that leaves the guests breathless.
The architectural firm Peter Pichler Architecture, in collaboration with the architect Pavol Mikolajcak designed the restaurant Oberholz Mountain Hut which completely fits into the natural surroundings. It’s like the restaurant rises from the mountains and spreads in a form of three points, as three branches, offering all guests a beautiful view of the surrounding.
The main idea in the designing of this project is the interpretation of a flattened tree with three large branches. The interior of the restaurant is elegant and modern, and the architects define it as a new and contemporary interpretation of the classic mountain house. Oberholz Mountain Hut is located next to the railway station Obereggen, so skiers after enjoying on the ski slopes, come into the restaurant and enjoy the food and the friendly intimate atmosphere, to rest in the bar located near the entrance.
Except inside the restaurant, visitors can enjoy the garden in which there are wooden tables with benches.
The architects Peter Pichler i Pavol Mikolajcak designed the mountain hut Oberholz after winning the competition organized during 2015. This winter the restaurant will be open for visitors.
