It?s part of an 18th century mansion in Sweden Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Swedish multidisciplinary design studio, has created a striking swimming pool and spa facility that sits on the property of an 18th century mansion in southern Sweden.
Built upon a platform on a sloping lawn, the simple, gable-roofed structures feature clean lines and sharp angles that establish a clear contrast against its verdant surroundings. But it is the chevron pattern of gleaming white tiles and parquet wooden slats covering every surface that makes the bolder statement. Comprising a shallow pool with a length of steps leading into the water, wooden deck, a covered picnic area, and an enclosed spa set in the platform space below the pool, the complex stands alone but also in harmony with the traditional main home.
The spa includes a sauna, shower, and an indoor pool that complements the one outdoors. The chevron pattern is also repeated on every surface, even on the ceilings, which highlights the blue of the water. Take a look.
