The eight upper floors of the prestigious CIBC Tower in Montreal are occupied by the Stikeman Elliott law Firm.
The original intent for this project was to create a new layout that maximizes natural light and views onto Montreal?s downtown area as well as promote informal meeting and socialisation among employees. To this end, the tree becomes a strong inspirational image for the development of the project.

The plan developed by Saucier+Perrotte Architectes is articulated around a central wooden staircase reminiscent of the ramifications of a tree.
To this new circulation space are also grafted the firm?s common areas such as the library, the lawyers? lounge, the employees? lounge and the kitchenettes.
Linked to both the circulation scheme and the peripheral office spaces, the informal work areas become neuralgic centers of activity promoting spontaneous encounters and collaboration.
The customer area of the firm, located on the top floor, combines a majestic reception lobby and waiting room and varied meeting rooms....
