Lots of windows mean there?s never a bad view Built from birch and pine, this cabin outside of Stockholm, Sweden, is a picture-perfect ode to its natural surroundings. Designed by Dive Architects, the compact cabin opens up to trees and a crystalline lake with large expanses of windows and plenty of outdoor space.
The house is conceived as two volumes that are angled into a subtle point. One side of the house is designated for communal areas like the living room and kitchen; the other side is for the private rooms including four bedrooms. The architects explain that the home?s layout was designed to capture the maximum amount of daylight.

?The homeowner can have the morning sun at breakfast and, as the day goes on, enjoy the sunset from the master bedroom,? the studio said.
In other words, no matter where you are in the house, you?re bound to get ample natural light and gorgeous views. The majority of the home is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows, and a large deck brings the idyllic landscape even closer.
