Henk Jonkers of the Delft University Of Technology, in Netherlands is working of the concrete healing process and was created this impressive self healing concrete. There are used bacterias in this bio concrete and when the crack appears and when the water gets into the cracks, the bacteria is activated and produces limestone which fills the cracks.
