The work of Adnan Do?an popped up in my Instagram feed and I was instantly captured. His elongated cubist forms have so much life and character. I had to do a little more digging and came across his Instagram and Facebook page, Liked and followed both. I love the roughness of the surfaces as well. Some of the figures feel as though they are in distress or agony, so much emotion.
Adnan Do?an was born in Sivas,Turkey in 1966.He graduated (2000) from the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in ?stanbul.Adnan taught sculpture at the Pera Arts Academy and the Esenyurt Municipality in ?stanbul.?n 2003,he was commissioned to create asculpture of the renowned Turkish poet Naz?m Hikmet Cultural Center in Esenyurt.Adnan has participated in several group exhibitons in Turkey and Italy,USA.Currently,he continues to work at the Heykel Sanat Atölyesi in istanbul.
