Score a ?70s time capsule in Sweden for $143K
Complete with a built-in greenhouse To renovate or not to renovate?it?s a question we?ve been finding ourselves asking lately. It was not, however, a question the previous owners of this 1970s country house in Sundsvall, Sweden, entertained for a single minute.

The brick and timber home, now on the market for the equivalent of around $143,000, was built in 1977, and not much has changed since then. It has all the aesthetic markings of a ?70s dwelling?yellow walls, an open-curving staircase, even the light fixtures and kitchen appliances feel perfectly retro. The only sign of modern polish is the wide open upper level room with access to an angled greenhouse.

Most impressively, every room has a wild wallpaper motif, from green plaid to stripes to a dense flower pattern that covers the entirety of a bedroom. Not exactly a subtle decoration choice, but then again, the ?70s weren?t known for their minimalism.
In any case, it?s a true time capsule of a home, and we love it. Sure, it could be modernized with white walls, updated appliances, and floors that are anything but linoleum, but here?s hoping that the next buyers don?t change a thing.
