ROYAL ACADEMY OF ARTS LAUNCHES NEW ERA FOR ARCHITECTURE WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF INAUGURAL ARCHITECTURE AWARDS WEEK EVENTS
The Royal Academy of Arts will hold a week of events from 3 ? 6 July 2018 to celebrate its increased commitment to architecure, made possible by a generous donation from the Dorfman Foundation.

Photographer – Mitsumasa Fujitsuka and Itsuko Hasegawa The week will include the announcement of the winner of the inaugural Royal Academy Dorfman Award, the Royal Academy Architecture Prize Lecture by Japanese architect Itsuko Hasegawa and discussion panels and presentations by students and educators.
Launched in 2017, the Royal Academy?s two new annual awards encompass the Royal Academy Architecture Prize, honouring an individual or collective for their contribution to the culture of architecture, and the Royal Academy Dorfman Award, recognising an international talent that represents the future of architecture. The awards celebrate the relationship between art and architecture and demonstrate the RA?s role as a global advocate for architecture.
