The latest listing to cross our desk is this two-bedroom, one-bath home in Toledo, Ohio, where the median list price of homes is currently $89,250, according to Zillow. Built in 1914, the home was purchased for $1,500 five years ago by Angela and Danny Kline, a couple who restores historic homes. The Craftsman was the former home of local artist Wil Clay, and is located walking distance from the Toledo Museum of Art. As featured in an HGTV pilot show called Almost Home, the home?s restoration involved modernizing the property while maintaining its authenticity. New granite countertops, a marble backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and all-new electrical and plumbing brought the house up to 21st-century standards. But period-appropriate stained glass, wood trim, and a restored cast iron claw foot tub add historic charm. Other amenities include an enclosed porch, fenced yard, and garage.
