Philip Johnson and Bodron + Fruit
Philip Johnson built this massive home which was completed in 1964. The home was commissioned by Henry C. Beck Jr. and his wife, Patricia, in Dallas. Eventually the Becks divorced and the house was sold to a couple that commissioned Mil Bodron and Svend Fruit to bring it back to life. The house is way to “grand” for me but I can certainly appreciate the construction and restoration. Some of the rooms are very well done and make the home feel a little more cozy. Bodron + Fruit did a fantastic job in handling the restoration and updating. I can imagine it would have been a monumental undertaking and maybe a little overwhelming.
