The Spanish designer is a master of the nexus of craft, industry, and aesthetics Architecture, furniture, product design, interior design?Patricia Urquiola has mastered them all with her signature dash of unpretentious whimsy. Now, the breath and depth of her work will be on display in her first solo show in the U.S.
Patricia Urquiola: Between Craft and Industry, on show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art through March 4, features everything from a range of playful chairs to colorful carpets, chic tableware, and woven architectural designs.

Urquiola?s most iconic works will be shown together for the first time, including a trio of chairs designed for the brand Moroso, the Shimmer tables by Glas Italia, the Visioni rug collection from cc-tapis, as well as the classic Beam Sofa system from Cassina, the Italian furniture and design company for which Urquiola serves as Art Director.
