Passive solar buildings as a concept is connected withe the main building elements (the windows, walls and the floors). In this order they need to be made in a certain way so they are able to collect solar energy. But also the great here is that they also keep and store it for the time it would be needed. This way the collected energy is used during the winter  months. Then the weather is cold and this energy is used for warming up the home. It is also used to reject the heat while the weather is hot in the summer.
