Premià de Mar it?s a town nearby Barcelona, it use to be a fishermen and little manufacturing town, nowadays struggles to keep its personality without becoming another Barcelona suburb. The square that will cover a parking roof had to substitute a public space conceived for occasional mass acts, but on the everyday terms was always empty.

On the beginning the functional program wasn?t straight and clear, the different items to be build changed during the designing process due to the citizen participation process or political decisions. Therefore, our strategy was to occupy the whole space, as in a painting, with a strong abstract geometry, a dynamic order capable to incorporate the different elements required and relate them in tautness equilibrium.
Among the different elements to incorporate there is a structure suitable to be covered for a concert o theater stage, grandstand for 600 people, playground area, ping-pong, petanque, newsstand or the parking entrance.
