Old world modern is the phrase that came to mind when I came across the images of Galerie Half. They are located on Melrose in Los Angeles. I like the mixture of old world art and architecture with mid century design. I this is not my personal taste but these interior shots from their store are simply striking. The other piece that caught my eye was the patina that exists on some of these pieces. Patina has a wonderful way of telling a story while giving validity to a specific material. Next time I am out in LA I will have to stop by and visit the store. Take a min and look through their inventory, it is quite impressive.
