Old Baseball Stadium In Japan Transformed Into A Model Residential Neighbourhood
Osaka Stadium in Japan was once home to the Nankai Hawks baseball team, but when the Hawks moved to another stadium, the city of Osaka turned the stadium into an outdoor display area for model homes. Opened in 1950 with a capacity of 32,000 people, the old baseball stadium was home to Nankai Hawks till 1988, when the Hawks moved to Heiwadai Stadium. Then, the stadium was sold to Fukuoka City. After the sale, the stadium was abandoned and apparently purchased by a property development company that used the space as a model home showroom.
