NZI architectes forms glazed façades to bring light into french leisure center
paris based studio, NZI architectes, has designed the bonneuils leisure center in bonneuil-en-france. the project aims to create a space for children that considers their well-being by incorporating both safe and playful atmospheres. the concept by the architect conceives of a protective place that is turned outwards.

as opposed to creating traditional, purely functional, circulation spaces, the design by NZI architectes treats them as places of life and makes use of natural light to provide a bright space. through the circulation, the interior of each room is visible, allowing children to be supervised easily by staff. the compact plan is organized on two axes, onto which the elements of the program are grafted.

from the outside, the depth of the building is revealed thanks to the glazed areas. the design makes use of a patio to bring maximum natural light and transparency from its central position. the lobby, all circulation spaces and the reception area also benefit from natural light as well as children?s changing rooms. the patio, can, among other things, host specific activities, such as small educational gardens.
