North Several by Royston Summers
Royston Summers designed and built this small group of seven houses in two terraces, built to the highest of standards for a collective of private individuals, including the architect himself. Built in the late 1960’s, there are some excellent materials and patina at play with this structure. The wood paneling found throughout the house provides warmth and contrast with the vast amount of windows found at the back of the home. The exposed structure of the stairway creates a architectural element that ads function and interest. All of the different materials found when you descend to the lower level have such great character. I can appreciate the collection of art and design found in these interiors, some nice restraint expressed here.
