As the most complex part of every home arranging, maybe the most expencive room also is the kitchen. There are so many electrical elements you need to place in limited space, leaving enough space for moving, working and similar is not an easy job to do. The functionality and safeness of the kitchen (and bath) are guaranteed by the National Kitchen & Bath Association which are advising us to respect these standards for the kitchen too:Â
Locate the sink so it makes the perfect triangle with the refrigerator and the stove
A sink landing area should give at least a 24? to one side of the sink and at least an 18? to the other
Food preparation and working area should be placed  immediately next to a sink and have at least 30? wide x 24? deep The dishwasher should be located at the nearest edge of the primary washer within 36? of the nearest edge of a sink.
Every kitchen should have at least two waste receptacles. Located near each of the cleanup /prep sink(s) and one for recycling in the kitchen or nearby.
Make sure you provide at least 3? of counter top frontage on one side of the auxiliary sink, and 18? of counter top frontage on the other side.
Make sure there is enough Refrigerator area
Make sure there is enough Cook Surface Landing Area
Make  24? of clearance between cooking surface and a protected noncombustible surface above it.
