New Orleans modernism was certainly co authored by Curtis and Davis. The Emerald Street residence is a beautiful mid century home design in 1953. The home suffered some not so good renovations in the 90’s and on top of that it suffered major water damage thanks to Hurricane Katrina in 2005. studioWTA has done a stellar job and, I would say resurrected this home from certain demo. I like the scale and size of this home. It would keep me from having to much stuff. The clear story windows and the beams are two architectural elements that caught my attention right away.
