The Providence Neighbourhood Centre designed by Ellivo Architects is nestled on a spacious lot in Ripley Valley and overlooks surrounding vast green lands and the distant mountains. The neighborhood center was designed to be as much a gathering space for the local community as a multi-tasking structure that can change and evolve with growing needs over time.Providence Neighbourhood Centre in Queensland, AustraliaOne of the most interesting features of the building is its unique blend of natural and industrial design elements along with a hint of modernity. From steel structural frames, exposed brick walls and timber screens that filter out harsh sunlight, the fascinating combination of contrasting materials used gives the community center a style of its own. Folding doors, floor-to-ceiling glass windows and skylights fill the interior with natural light as smart indoor-outdoor interplay creates multiple activity zones for both adults and kids alike.
