Mountain mansion with perks galore asks $25M in Big Sky

Rustic alpine style goes all in on luxury It?s prime skiing season, and while some may be pining for an island getaway to escape the cold, we?re dreaming of the perfect winter house. You know the kind?a sprawling retreat with big windows, rough-hewn timber, and plenty of fireplaces.

And that?s just what you get with this over-the-top, eight-bedroom, ten-bath property in Big Sky, Montana. Designed by Miller-Roodell Architects and constructed in 2008, the 16,000-square-foot home sits high on a ridge to take advantage of panoramic views of the Gallatin Mountain Range and the Spanish Peaks. Reclaimed wood is used throughout?the window and door trim comes from an old building in Times Square that used to be a brothel and the bar is made from bridge piles from the Great Salt Lake railroad trestle. Mixed with the timber is stonework using Montana Moss Rock on both the exterior and interior. Exposed beams and multiple fireplaces create a rustic coziness, and cabinetry and ironwork was built by local craftsman. And like any good multi-million dollar ski home, luxury perks abound: a pizza room sits adjacent to the kitchen and the house includes a gaming area, wine cellar, hot tub, several ponds, multiple patios, and a lookout tower accessed by a spiral staircase.
Love what you see" 800 Great Point Road is on the market now for $25,000,000.
