Modern Brutalism by Mathilde Penicaud
Mathilde Penicaud’s work made me think of a modern or current style of brutalism. My favorite shapes are those were she has created bands of steel with curved connecting spaces of concrete. One of her projects is a massive snake like sculpture used for a playground and there is a name on each band. So of the pieces do remind me little of Paul Evens but cleaner and more minimal. I also very much like the lamps that she has created. A pair of these would work nicely into a modern interior. Really need to learn how to weld but I am afraid I will go overboard. Make sure t check out the rest of the projects.
