Charles Erwin King was an architect who design some stunning homes in the Illinois area. I recently received an email from Matt, a long time reader who is placing his Charles Erwin King home on the market. I about spit my cereal on the screen when I saw the house and the asking price. My plain tract house cost more then that. Matt’s house was designed in 1957 and is everything you could imagine a perfect MCM home could be. Terrazzo floors, floor to ceiling windows, ceiling beams, and the list goes on. I have to commend Matt as he has done a great job being the “caretaker”. Matt obviously has great taste, as everything looks to belong. He also forwarded a link that will give you more information on King which I found quite educational.
