This glass and steel post-and-beam is among the last homes designed by the late modernist Donald Wexler. Completed earlier this year, the Palm Springs residence was designed for the architect?s tenant-turned-friend Marc Sanders, according to Desert Sun, in 1998, but it wasn?t until 20 years later that a version of the home was built.
Aptly named Steel and Glass, the 2,780-square-foot L-shaped house features a distinctly midcentury modern silhouette characterized by a low-slung flat roof, open-plan interiors, and walls of sliding glass doors that establish seamless connections to the backyard and pool terrace.
