Mid Century in Salt Lake by Ed Dreier
This Ed Dreier mid century home in Salt Lake City just hit the market and it is a piece of art. It is stated that most of Ed’s client trusted him to express his creative genius. His creative genius certainly was let loose with this design. The carport is the welcoming architectural element that slaps you with a first impression. The tulip style garage echoes the work of Eero Saarinen’s work for Knoll. The steel structure housing the floor to ceiling windows is beautifully minimal and echoes the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson. I just don’t think it could get any better. I would love to see the new owners taste in art and design. I know the interiors are personal taste but I think the current state of this place is somewhat tragic. I would love to see the interiors meticulously mid century modern.
