Mid Century in Maryland by Poldi Hirsch
This mid century in Maryland designed by Architect Poldi Hirsch is currently on the market for the first time. She designed this home for her own family. She immigrated from Germany in 1953 and was heavily influenced by Le Corbusier. The home is a large size at 5k square feet. The house is an excellent example of mid century post and beam construction. For me the house is a bit on the rustic side, a lot of wood going on. It looks as though the house has been kept in immaculate condition. I do like the occurrences of color. The purple furnishings and the green kitchen do bring the house a little out of the woods.
