Mid Century in La Jolla California

This mid century in La Jolla California has it all. Sometimes I find myself looking through listings only to find that the house was staged terribly or it is full of modern day overstuffed brown leather junk. The house was designed in 1969 by James E Hurley. This is a classic example of post and beam. The post and beam construction allows one to see and feel the architecture of the house, somewhat like ribcage if you will. I think the updates done on this house are great, they arrive right in the middle of keeping the time capsule and contemporary. The current owner have great taste if you take the time to look in each room you can pick out some nice pieces.
