Mid Century by Robert Bliss Updated

This mid century by Robert Bliss has gone through a stunning revision. Bliss was University of Minnesota architecture professor and had spaces and rooms for a maid and chauffeur in this home. Those spaces were covered to living spaces. The silhouette of the home is minimal in appearance, I like that. The ceilings of the home add a great deal of architectural interest. The wood slatted wall that run down the middle of the house provides warmth in an otherwise cool colored palette. My first thought was that the update was too contemporary but I think if you place period furnishings in the home some of that notion would loosen a little.
