Mid Century by Edward Fickett
Edward Fickett built this stunner in 1956. It is currently on the market in the hills of Encino California. Obviously the home has been renovated and for the most part I think they did a very nice job. I know some people don’t like the brick in these homes painted but I like it here. For me it depends on what the original brick looked like, color and texture. Post and beam get me very time, I love seeing the architecture of the home. The backside of glass lets a ton of light flood the rooms. The all white walls bounce light in all directions. I feel like the house has a renewed freshness without making it a contemporary mess.
