Mid Century A Frame in Los Angeles
This mid century A Frame built in 1963 in Los Angeles is going on the auction block soon. I haven’t really given much thought to the A frame in mid century architecture but there was something nice about this one. On top of that the interiors are not usually my bag. The Boho vide is cohesive throughout the house and maybe that is why I like it, they just did a great job with their “flavor”. The interior ceiling is quite dramatic, you would think because of the shape it might feel cramped but it looks to be quite the opposite. I like the size of the beams in the main living area, they are massive and make a huge statement. There is a great story about the owner. The son of the owner gives a run down of his life. He was a professor at Occidental College for over 30 years.
