denmark?s louisiana museum of modern art will present the third exhibition of the series ?the architect?s studio? the series presents a succession of contemporary designers and their work with sustainable, socially aware architecture addressing the challenges of globalization. this fall the museum will feature tatiana bilbao, the mexican architect who represents a generation of architects aspiring to much more than simply creating good architecture. with tatiana bilbao estudio, visitors observe the behind-the-scenes processes, ideas, working methods and philosophies which drove each project to explore current demarcations of the field of architecture.

the work of tatiana bilbao estudio, to exhibit at louisiana museum of modern art in denmark, can be categorized into two types: those projects with economic and experimental design opportunities to develop an architectural vocabulary, and those driven by a limited budget and are often not for profit, such as social housing in mexico. the knowledge bilbao had gained from the more traditional tasks was used to create necessary sustainable solutions. through her practice, bilbao has addressed a wealth of initiatives to the mexican state, which is responsible for ensuring all mexicans their constitutional right to a home.
