RIBA Low Line International Design Competition Shortlist
Five green visions for the path forged by the railway viaducts through Bankside, London Bridge and Bermondsey, will be revealed for the first time as the Low Line international design competitionreaches its final stages.
Launched in July this year by Better Bankside, the Low Line Steering Group and the Royal Institute
of British Architects (RIBA) and supported by Lund Trust, the competition invited architects,
landscape architects, ecologists, engineers, artists and other professionals to develop a green and
creative vision and strategy to underpin the future development of the Low Line.
Eighty-two entries were received, spanning thirty-five countries. Now the judging panel has
shortlisted the five projects in contention for the prize of directing the development of an ecological
vision for the Low Line. The identity of the successful project will be announced at the start of
December.
