Slade Architecture has designed one of the best “farm houses” I have ever seen. The juxtaposition of the bottom stone volume and the top glass volume is beautiful. I love that the stone and some of the cherry wood paneling was taken for the very spot the house was built on. I can see why the owners wanted an intimate view of the surrounding area with the “glass house” giving them just that. The interiors are just as minimal and exact as the design of the structure. All around the house and its relationship with the land around it, is outstanding. Never had a desire to live in a farm house until now. photo-Tom Sibley
