KDP Residence by Govaert and Vanhoutte

The KDP residence by Govaert and Vanhoutte is another one of those stunning combinations of glass and concrete. I have been on a run of modern architecture that has that bunker style but also has plenty of glass. Having a concrete frame and walls of glass give a more definitive silhouette to the concrete. This home almost feels as though it is floating off the ground. I can’t tell if the house is by water bit the sand in the exterior landscaping maybe suggests that. If its not by the water I would have to ad a little more to the landscaping. There is something beautiful about a raw concrete structure, it a a strong presence of longevity.
