Installing a ceiling fan should go in several steps and first one is of course finding the exact location and doing all needed measurements. Make sure the existing conduit box is attached firmly to the framing and the special braces are firm. If you can not go on the attic and install the fan, you can do it trough the expandable support of the light fixture’s hole. Expanding the brace should be turned by hand first and than with adjustable wrench or pair of pliers. More about the installation from the links bellow.
