Ieoh Ming Pei Dies aged 102
The Chinese American architect was born in Guangzhou in 1917 and raised in Hong Kong and Shanghai, China.
Key architectural honours:
– American Institute of Architects? Gold Medal in 1979
– Grande Medaille d?Or from the Academie d?Architecture de France in 1982
– Pritzker Prize winner in 1983
– Presidential Medal of Freedom from President George H.W. Bush in 1992
