Harper Perry Architects win Hull ?Living with Water? Competition
Design: Harper Perry Architects
Newcastle-based architecture practice Harper Perry Architects has won the RIBA Competition to design a new waterfront housing development in Hull on behalf of Hull City Council.
The international competition sought design ideas to redevelop two waterfront city centre locations, Humber Quays West and Hull Arena. All designs were asked to embrace the principles of ?Living with Water? and deal with flood risk. Harper Perry were unanimously selected by the Evaluation Panel following interviews with all five shortlisted teams held at the Guildhall in Hull on Thursday 4 July 2019.
The other shortlisted teams were:

? AR Urbanism with Greysmith Associates, London
? Condy Lofthouse Architects, Liverpool
? John Puttick Associates, London
Charlie Spencer the landowner for the Humber Quays West site commented:
?I understand that Harper Perry have been chosen by the Council and the Spencer Group as the winners of the design ideas competition for our land at Humber Quays and the council?s Hull Arena.
